Eger, Hungary isn't well known in the States, but it successfully held off the Ottomon advance into Europe in 1552, led by hero István Dobó. In current times, the surrounding wine region is internationally known. The town center is very compact, enabling one to walk across it in just a few minutes.

Kopcsik Marzipan Museum (Kopcsik Marcipánia)

The Marzipan Museum contains all sorts of sculptures (some which take the form of paintings), all made out of marzipan. They have a glaze based on egg whites and confectioner’s sugar, and are painted with tempera.
