It's that time of year again. Today is my mom's birthday, so here's me playing Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum, the first piece in Debussy's Children's Corner.
The other recording I have of this is from 1976, which I didn't listen to until I did this year's recording. I was surprised that I took it at about the same speed. I do vary the tempo a bit more now, though, especially at the end where I speed up a bit more. More pedal in some places now, too; I'll need to think about whether I want to lighten that up.
