It’s my mom’s birthday again, so here’s another stab at recording my piano playing.
I’m moving into the part of my repertoire which is rougher. This piece I actually made a stab at having ready for last year, but it wasn’t close enough. Because of the amount of time I end up playing during the week, progress is pretty slow.
This recording is indeed pretty rough, not only with notes, but with tempo (I sped up in a few places I didn’t intend to). The recording also sounds a bit heavier than it does from the keyboard, partly because I just put my phone behind the music rack, but it does sound better than previous years.
All that said, here’s the Brahms Rhapsody in g minor, Opus 79, No. 2.
You can look at all of the birthday piano posts.
