Seattle to Halifax, Thursday, 1-Jun-2023
/Since we had an early evening flight from Seattle, we took our time finishing things at the house before heading to the airport. After we arrived, our first flight to Vancouver was delayed several times. It ended up leaving almost two hours late, but fortunately, that still left us with a layover of about an hour, so we weren’t too worried.
One benefit of the delayed flight is we saw the sunset over Puget Sound on the flight up. The color was an amazing orange.
After landing, we did a brisk walk to passport control. Since we have Nexus cards, we could take advantage of shorter lines. Because of the time of day, though, the regular lines were just as fast.
We found our gate and had time to relax a bit before boarding. We were hoping to sleep on the overnight flight., even though neither of us tends to sleep well on red-eye flights.
