Tynor and Mallory head to North Carolina
During the pre-pandemic days, Kellen and Brady left Seattle to live in Germany for what ended up being about a year and a half before they moved back. In a few days, Tynor and Mallory are moving to North Carolina. The move that has been in the back of their minds for quite a while, and last year they set things in motion.
Living in Raleigh will be a homecoming for Mallory, as both her parents still live in the area. For Tynor, it will be his first time living outside the Seattle area. Since Tynor works remotely anyway, he will continue working at Peach. Mallory had her last day at Pfizer last week.
The couple had good timing and were able to purchase a house before moving, so they will have a place to land. It will have plenty of space, and they will get their first taste of homeownership. Both of Mallory's parents have walked through the house and it sounds and looks great.
Just like when Kellen and Brady were in Germany, we will greatly miss Tynor and Mallory's day-to-day presence in our lives. Whether it be the quick visit or the large family dinner, we always looked forward to seeing how they brighten the room.
While I expect we will still see them occasionally, it's hard to know how often that will happen. We do have the rest of the year planned out; they will come to Seattle in July before we all go down to Southern California for my family's reunion. In the fall, Melody and I plan on going to North Carolina to check things out. We are already looking into things we can do using Raleigh as a launching point.
Tynor and Mallory's lives look very different now than it did four or five years ago. In that time, they met, got married, and are now homeowners and moving across the country. Whatever their future holds, we will be rooting for them and sending all of our love.
