When I was young, we went to Devils Postpile quite often, as I was quite fascinated with the columns and how they have fallen over the years. Back then, it took a long time to get to the parking lot because the road was windy, narrow, and was more pothole than road. Now the road is paved and you take a shuttle bus from Mammoth Mountain.
