Project 366, January 2016

The first month of the year is done, and it's time to look back at the first month of photos for my Project 366. You can view them on the January page.

So far, things are going well. Last time I did a Project 365, I had a few days where I realized late at night I hadn't taken a photo yet. It wouldn't surprise me if that happened this year, but it hasn't yet.

I'm planning on pointing out my favorite from the whole month, as well as one or two other ones that I like. That said, this is the January photo I like the best:

There's a lot of construction near work, so we see lots of cranes. Most of them are the tower style (one central column with the boom across the top), but there are a few of the traditional cranes. I liked the strong primary colors in this photo, as well as the detail in the cables.

I also like this shot of clouds and a tree reflecting in the windows of Paccar Hall on the University of Washington, especially how the tree looks as if it could be in front of the building, but then you see the window frames break the reflection.

My last selection is of the Space Needle from underneath. It looks somewhat like the underside of a mushroom.

The rest of the month's photos are on the January page.
